ZERO TOLERANCE OF DRINKING AND DRIVING
The company would remind the drivers that it is against the national laws of Kenya and the long standing company regulations for drivers of the company vehicle to have drunk alcohol and then drive a vehicle or machine.
The use of drugs and alcohol can impair performance at work, and can be a serious threat to the safety and environment, healthy and productivity and reputation. We ensure that’s all employees and contractors recognize this threat and aim to minimize the risks involved.
POLICIES
- All persons entering the company premises shall be subjected to mandatory alcohol testing.
- All employees should discuss safety concerns regarding the use of prescription drugs with physicians. In addition they should report to their direct supervisor the type of drugs they are using.
- Consumption of alcohol at the company locations, branches and customers site is strictly prohibited.
- Being at work whilst impaired by drugs or alcohol is strictly prohibited.
- Possession, distribution sale of alcohol and illegal drugs {or prescription drugs which are misused} whilst on company business or on company premises is strictly prohibited.
- All employees whether on company site, at the customer site and on transit, may be subjected to a random drug and alcohol test as determined by the company.
- Educating employees of their responsibilities to report any use of prescribed medication that may affect their ability to work safely.
- Barring of anyone suspected or reported to be under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol from gaining access to our site or operations.
