Consumption of drugs and alcohol directly impairs ones physical and mental capabilities and is a serious threat to the safety of all personnel that it cannot be tolerated at the work place. The abuse of drugs and alcohol will be prevented by:

MANAGEMENT
Management provides and maintains as far as possible:

• Effective communication of this policy to new staff during induction and conducting educating current staff on the same.
• Educating employees of their responsibilities to report any use of prescribed medication that may affect their ability to work safely.
• Barring of anyone suspected or reported to be under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol from gaining access to our site or operations.
• Placing responsibility on Managers and supervisors to report any known or suspected drug and / or alcohol abuse as soon it occurs.
• Ensuring the secured storage and use of acceptable substances such as industrial spirits or medication drugs are strictly controlled.
• Maintaining awareness throughout the workforce on the dangers of alcohol and drugs at the workplaces.
